Police investigation has revealed that two children, presumed to be kidnapped from Piplatari VDC of Parbat, were killed by their own father.
Organising a press meet on Friday, Police informed that Namuna Tiwari, 8 and Nabina Tiwari, 6 were throwned into the Modi river by their own father, Krishna Tiwari.
Tiwari admitted to killing his two daughters by thorwing them alive into the river. He said that he had to take the cruel step--altristic felicide--as the family was going through acute financial problem.
Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Superintendent of Police (SP) Sher Bahadur Basnet who went from Kathmandu to investigate the incident was in-charge of the case. As the investigation is underway, police have suspected the involvement of more people.
Tiwari had been to Israel for overseas job but returned back a few years ago. His wife is currently working in Iraq. He has his eldest daughter with him.
